Description :In AC, we are one of the busiest areas of the plant, producing approximately 40% of all Loewen units. We are fast paced, where safety, quality, and efficiency are part of every decision. Across the 4 AC departments, we collaborate as team members and departments to ensure we are all successful.We are hiring a Coordinator to join the A/C team on the day shift. This is an active and communicative role, working with department leadership, while flexing into multiple jobs throughout the shift. If you are a motivated, and efficient team member, with a strong focus on quality and safety, we encourage you to apply! This is a full-time, permanent Band 3B position on the day shift.Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pmIn this role, you will:
  • Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
  • Act as a key person in the designated work area
  • Ensure materials are available for use
  • Update stock out report and run system for company visibility
  • Ensure leadership is aware of all situations regarding safety, quality, personnel, product, and materials
  • Able to problem solve issues as they arise
  • Spend 90% of the workday on the floor
  • Flex between multiple jobs throughout the shift
You will bring:
  • Positive work experience in current role
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
  • Effective communication skills, understand and write simple correspondence as well as communicate verbally in English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and motivate team members
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs repeatedly
The following will be considered assets:
  • Experience with the crane, table saw, chop saw, and radial arm saw
  • Knowledge of department processes
  • Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
