Description :Duties and responsibilities include:
  • First Aid – on-mountain guest injuries and WorkSafeBC-designated worker injuries
  • Incident investigation
  • Risk management
  • Trail maintenance
  • Public relations
  • Opening and closing runs
  • Side-by-side operations
  • Search and rescue
  • Lift evacuations

  • A valid and current first-aid ticket from an 80-hour first-aid course is required. Examples of courses accepted include:
  • OFA 3
  • NUEC 3
  • EMR, PCP or higher license
  • Australian Ski Patrol Association Certification
  • New Zealand PHEC
  • Wilderness First Responder
  • If you are currently in the process of acquiring a valid first aid ticket, inform us within your application, and we will take it into consideration
  • Advanced downhill biking ability
  • Knowledge of Big White Bike Park is considered an asset
  • Previous experience as a Patroller or First Responder is considered an asset

Please note: candidates who have not completed a first aid course prior to their interview may be at a disadvantage.

  • June 11 (tentative) - training begins
