Employment Terms: Part-Time, ContractStart Date: ASAPThe Opportunity:We are seeking a Robotics Coach to support co-curricular programming for Branksome Hall students. This role will work closely with faculty to support the development of robotic skill sets for students. The coach will mentor students and attend competitions to support activities and provide guidance.This role will start in the 2025-26 academic year and continue throughout the 2026-27 academic year. The Robotics Coach will work on campus 4 days a week for a total of 8 hours weekly, with full day attendance at 3-4 competitions per year. This position runs from September - June each academic year, with occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends required.Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Collaborates with faculty to develop curriculum, lessons, and projects for the co-curricular robotics programDesign or administer course materials such as tutorials to enable successful student projectsInstruct team members in the effective use of computer-aided design (CAD) softwareCreates and maintains a CAD library of parts commonly used in designs for the co-curricular programTrains and monitors students on the safe and proper use of tools in the workshopOversees and collaborates on the purchase of parts, hardware equipment for the robotics labMaintains and upgrades equipment in the workshop to continuously improve safety and efficiencyOrganizes equipment and inventories for the Upper School Robotics teamTravels with teams to competitions directs students in the maintenance and repair of the robotCandidate Profile:Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical EngineeringProfessionally trained in Fusion 360 or similar CAD softwareExperienced and trained in the use of milling machines, lathes, CNC machines, and othermetal fabrication equipment is strongly preferred5+ years of experience programming microcontrollers, and interfacing with sensors is strongly preferredPractical understanding of electronics with the ability to assemble and troubleshoot simple CircuitsCommunicates effectively, verbally, and in writingHas extensive knowledge and proficiency with VEX RoboticsPossesses excellent computer skillsHas good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and the Branksome Hall communityDemonstrates good collaboration skills and works well with othersHas excellent attention to detailTarget Hiring Range: $50-60 hourlyHow to Apply:Bring your vision, passion and creativity to Branksome Hall.
