- Map & Improve Material Flow: Analyze how materials - from small parts to large assemblies- move through AML’s supply chain, inventory, and production. Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable improvements.
- Build Quality-First Systems: Help formalize and maintain reliable processes around procurement, receiving, kitting, quality control, and stock management. Contribute to SOPs that improve accuracy, traceability, and repeatability.
- Support Procurement & Subcontracting: Assist with vendor communication, lead time tracking, and delivery schedules. Coordinate logistics and documentation for externally manufactured components.
- Streamline Inventory Planning: Monitor part usage, stock levels, and reorder triggers. Support physical inventory and cycle counting programs to maintain system accuracy.
- Maintain & Improve ERP Data: Keep materials, supplier, and order records clean and current. Use ERP insights to guide inventory decisions and detect potential issues before they become problems.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a connector between warehouse, production, purchasing, and engineering, ensuring everyone has the information and materials they need to succeed.
- Drive Process Improvement: Use a continuous improvement lens to suggest and implement changes that make our supply chain more efficient, resilient, and easy to manage.
- Reliable Material Availability: Ensure key components are ordered, received, and staged correctly to support AML’s production and shipping schedule.
- Process Integrity: Implement and support operational processes that are clearly defined, documented, and repeatable, reducing guesswork and increasing accountability.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain clean and trustworthy ERP records related to suppliers, parts, POs, and inventory movement.
- Operational Efficiency: Contribute to cost reduction, lead time improvement, and improved inventory accuracy through proactive supply chain improvements.
- Material Flow Understanding: Ability to analyze and visualize how parts move across vendors, warehouses, and production to identify blockers or opportunities for streamlining, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
- ERP & Inventory Systems: Experience using ERP/MRP tools to track stock, manage part data, and support operational decisions.
- Problem Solving & Process Thinking: Strong eye for inefficiencies and opportunities to reduce waste, eliminate errors, and improve system performance.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders across departments. Clear, proactive communicator.
- Vendor & Logistics Coordination: Experience managing supplier timelines, documentation, and issue resolution to keep materials moving as planned.
