- Design, analyze, implement, and optimize end-to-end satellite communication digital payload systems and related subsystem architectures.
- Support or lead telecommunications systems engineering activities for satellite-based connectivity solutions.
- Contribute to the design of satellite payloads, including RF bent-pipe and digital onboard processing payloads (transparent or regenerative).
- Develop system requirements and subsystem specifications for RF and digital payload components such as digital channel processors, phased array antennas, multi-spot beam systems, and flexible payload architectures.
- Perform system requirement analysis, trade studies, and link budget calculations to evaluate payload performance and satellite throughput.
- Establish and supervise systems engineering standards, methods, and testing procedures for digital payload systems.
- Participate in design reviews, integration activities, and system validation.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in digital equipment, signal processing, and networking technologies (e.g., DTN, MPLS, routing protocols, DVB,
- Knowledge of RF systems, satellite payload design, and 5G NTN is considered an asset.
- Experience with simulation and modelling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, UML, or STK, and familiarity with Linux environments.
- Understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- French language proficiency required; English is an asset.
