We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join our fast-paced and global team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in international trade operations, adapts quickly to changing circumstances, and collaborates effectively with colleagues and partners worldwide. Operating within a 24/7 environment, you will be responsible for coordinating time-critical import and export shipments across North America, Latin America, and other global destinations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and on-time delivery.Available Shifts:
  • Friday - Monday | 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday - Sunday | 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate import and export shipments across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and global markets, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Manage urgent logistics solutions such as Next Flight Out (NFO) and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments, balancing speed with regulatory accuracy.
  • Prepare and review import/export documentation, including customs paperwork, commercial invoices, airway bills, and certificates of origin.
  • Monitor, update, and track shipments throughout their lifecycle using internal logistics systems to ensure full visibility for clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with international teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to facilitate smooth cross-border operations.
  • Act as the first point of contact in emergencies-responding rapidly, assessing trade compliance requirements, and implementing effective solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, customs officials, and global partners while demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Investigate shipment delays, customs holds, or documentation errors; resolve issues quickly and escalate when necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of import/export SOPs and compliance processes.
  • Actively participate in virtual collaboration (MS Teams) to support shared workflows and ensure seamless coordination across regions.
  • Provide coverage for colleagues to maintain 24/7 operational continuity.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in import/export coordination, international trade, or logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of global shipping regulations, customs clearance processes, and trade documentation.
  • Experience managing time-sensitive freight solutions (NFO, AOG, or comparable services).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability in a shared order environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations and client interactions professionally.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, energetic, and collaborative work style with a global mindset.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and extended shifts (12 hours), including weekends.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams; familiarity with logistics platforms (e.g., Prizm or similar systems) is an asset.
  • Capacity to quickly learn new systems and processes through training and hands-on experience.
