T. Weber Co. Ltd. is a family-run construction company with over 50 years of expertise in pavement maintenance, oil undercoating, and snow services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Office Administrative Assistant to join our team in Bloomingdale, ON. This entry-level position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic office environment within the construction industry.As an Office Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting front office operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities. You will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the business while contributing to both administrative and project-related tasks.This posting reflects a current hiring need for our client. We use AI-assisted tools to help review resumes and identify potential candidate matches, however all hiring decisions are made by our team and the client directly.Key responsibilities include:
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors to provide excellent customer service
  • Coordinating day-to-day office activities and supporting front office operations
  • Assisting with accounts payable tasks, including matching, coding, and posting invoices
  • Performing data entry and maintaining organized, accurate records
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Utilizing Sage Simply Accounting and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for office tasks
  • Supporting administrative and project-related tasks while learning the business
RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic data entry
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Reliable personal transportation for commuting
  • Ability to start work as soon as possible
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing data entry and maintaining organized records in an office setting
  • Experience assisting with accounts payable tasks such as matching, coding, and posting invoices
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Business, Accounting, or Civil Engineering program
  • Experience using Sage Simply Accounting
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, such as answering phones and greeting visitors
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly wage of $18.00–$20.00 to start, based on experience
  • Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (reduced hours from January to March)
