You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, providing high-quality service that keeps our operations running smoothly.   • Perform diagnostic inspections and troubleshooting on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
  • Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on engines, brakes, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify repair effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex mechanical issues.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Assist with parts ordering and inventory management as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certified apprentice (level 1 to 2) as a Heavy Duty Mechanic/Truck & Transport Technician
  • Proven experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to safety standards
Preferred:
  • Class 1 or 3 driver's license
  • CVI (Commercial Vehicle Inspection) license
  • Previous experience in a dealership shop environment
