- Safely load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Operate heavy equipment including cranes and other mechanical tools for materials handling and positioning.
- Perform order picking with RF scanners and pickers to fulfill shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items through heavy lifting techniques.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and updates within the warehouse management system.
- Assist in warehouse organization by stacking pallets, organizing storage areas, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on daily operations, including materials movement and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and safety procedures to minimize risk during heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, load & unload activities, and inventory management.
- Construction or materials handling background is a plus for understanding complex logistics scenarios.
