We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Material Handler to join our logistics and distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and shipping of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure that inventory is accurately handled, safety protocols are followed, and operations run smoothly to support our company's supply chain objectives.   • Safely load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
  • Operate heavy equipment including cranes and other mechanical tools for materials handling and positioning.
  • Perform order picking with RF scanners and pickers to fulfill shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items through heavy lifting techniques.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and updates within the warehouse management system.
  • Assist in warehouse organization by stacking pallets, organizing storage areas, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on daily operations, including materials movement and equipment maintenance.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and safety procedures to minimize risk during heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Hands-on experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Prior warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, load & unload activities, and inventory management.
  • Construction or materials handling background is a plus for understanding complex logistics scenarios. This role is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations while prioritizing safety standards. Wage: $20 to $24/hr, based on experience
