If you love music and got excited just thinking about joining this amazing organization, we would love to meet you!Associate Manager, Digital OperationsThe UMC team works four days a week from our award-winning creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto, and one day to work virtually.Reporting to the Manager, Digital Operations, this is a key position within the Digital Operations team, interacting with both internal and external clients to ensure the accurate and efficient ingestion of all new release metadata. The position requires a keen attention to detail, willingness to learn, strong organizational ability, a demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Office applications, and Monday.com.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get a broad understanding of the core operations of the company and is likely to evolve to cover wider aspects of the supply chain over time in line with planned process and system enhancements.How You’ll LeadData Preparation and Quality Control - checking and preparing metadata submissions from label clients and ingesting metadata through the UMG supply chain to digital partnersProcessing metadata amendments/corrections as requiredHandling and uploading confidential assets like audio and video to the supply chainWorking with label partners to promote adoption of best practice metadata standards across their release submissions.Providing effective training to new clients and users of release submission systems and processes, including providing online and in person demonstrationsContributing to projects to enhance and improve metadata qualityPreparing metadata for catalogue integrationsTroubleshooting downstream data feed issues through supply chainSupporting other Repertoire Operations processes as requiredContributing ideas for system and process improvementsDirect backup to the Manager, Digital OperationsOther duties as assignedWhat You BringPost-secondary degree or diploma in music, media and/or entertainment5 Years experience working within the music industry or adjacent industriesExperience in supply chain workAbility to work in a role where a high degree of attention to detail/accuracy is requiredAbility to learn, interpret and apply detailed rules required for the formatting of metadataMethodical approach to work and experience of working under tight deadlinesAdaptability when it comes to learning new systems and processes quicklyTeam first thinking with the ability to work autonomouslyExcel proficiency and experience in AirTable, Monday.com or similar systemsBeing organized and demonstrating an affinity with problem solvingExperience of working with music metadata in a previous role an advantageKnowledge and experience using key digital service providersBold, ambitious, creative thinking; an entrepreneurial style and a growth mindsetExcellent communication skills anchored by honesty, accountability, and an open mindPassion for music and artistsWhat We OfferCompetitive Compensation Package includes, benefits, Pension Plan, Savings plan with company matching2-week paid Winter BreakSummer FridaysMedical, Dental, Vision and Mental Health SupportEmployee Ticket BoxMusic Subscription ReimbursementUniversal Music Canada is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and strongly welcomes and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, women, persons with disabilities, people who are 2SLGBTQIA+, and people from other diverse communities.
