We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Support Workers to join our amazing team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care.As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Essential Homemaking Support: Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.
  • Meal Preparation and Shopping: Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items.
  • Childcare and Pet Care: Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly.
  • Infection Prevention: Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support.

QualificationsEducation:
  • Secondary School Graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of Home Support Program/courses preferred
Other Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening
Experience and skills:
  • Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of infection prevention practices.
  • Exceptional communication and observational skills.
  • Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
