On behalf of our Financial Services Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Client's team on a Full-Time Permanent basis. This role is Remote (Greater Toronto Area preferred, open to Canada) and the Client is based in Toronto.Summary of the RoleThis role supports a newly established Delivery Management function responsible for vendor-led technology initiatives. The Business Systems Analyst acts as a hands-on bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and external SaaS vendors to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. The position plays a key role in large-scale platform transitions, data migrations, integrations, and tooling enhancements within a financial services environment. This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong analytical capability, practical execution skills, and experience operating in change-heavy environments.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartner directly with business stakeholders to elicit, qualify, and refine requirements while identifying capability gaps and challenging assumptionsTranslate business needs into clear, structured documentation including BRDs, future-state process maps, and gap analysesSupport a pod-based delivery model aligned to external vendors, ensuring requirements are executable and measurableCollaborate closely with product owners and vendor teams to ensure accurate interpretation and successful implementation of requirementsContribute to data-focused initiatives including data migrations, conversions, integrations, and reporting logic validationUtilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage requirements, track progress, and support delivery transparencyValidate data using SQL to interrogate datasets, confirm logic, and support reporting accuracyDrive tangible outcomes within evolving delivery environmentsCore RequirementsFinancial Services industry experience (wealth management or large banking environments preferred)Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst within delivery-focused environmentsStrong requirements gathering and documentation experience (BRDs, gap analysis, future-state processes)Hands-on SQL experience with the ability to analyze and validate dataExperience supporting data-intensive projects such as migrations, conversions, or integrationsDesired Skills & ExperienceExperience working with SaaS platforms and vendor-managed solutionsExposure to wealth management platformsExperience supporting transformation or large-scale change initiativesExperience operating within vendor-led or pod-based delivery modelsTermsThis is a full-time permanent opportunity.
