Job DescriptionThe Core Platform Services (CPS) team is part the Enterprise Platform Services under RBC Technology Infrastructure (TI) organization. CPS is comprised of Middleware, Messaging and Mainframe/Midrange teams of varying functions that collaborate to manage and support RBC's most important, mission critical applications and processes with the highest level of services, security and reliability.As a Senior Project Manager in the Core Platform Services (CPS) team, you will provide project management support for a variety of programs and projects. You will work closely with Directors and Senior Directors along with other key stakeholders across the enterprise. This role requires a dynamic individual with considerable experience managing projects in technologies such as Middleware, Messaging and Mainframe/Midrange, and managing IT Risk and Regulatory programs in large and complex initiatives.What will you doExecute large and complex projects such as upgrades/migrations of hardware and software, and program such as MRA/MRIA Regulatory, ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines across multiple applications, stakeholders and teamsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and stakeholders; including Development teams, Core Platform Services, Technology Infrastructure, Enterprise Platform Services, Technology Risk and external partners/vendorsMaintain project plans, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies), and ensure accurate status tracking and reportingCoordinate with central teams to translate high-level requirements into actionable projects deliverablesSupport estimation efforts, financial tracking, and preparation of PAR submissionsMonitor project milestones and escalate risks and issues to program managers and leadership as neededPrepare status updates and executive-level materials for FIAT governance forums and senior leadership meetingsFacilitate cross-functional team collaboration and communication to address project dependencies and resolve impedimentsTrack resource allocations and ensure adherence to project budgets and timelinesEnsure compliance with RBC procedures and processes throughout the project lifecycleWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have:Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management technology and financial servicesExperience managing or supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholdersUnderstanding of middleware, JBoss, MQSeries, Mainframe (HP, IBM, IMS, DB2)Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Sharepoint, Confluence, or similar).Strong knowledge and experiences with IT Risk and Regulatory programs (MRA/MRIA, OSFI)Proven ability to track, report, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies.Utilize data analysis to track project performance identify risks and drive continuous improvement.Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to interpret and visualize key metrics.Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-backed decisions.Communicate effectively with teams and leadership, translating data into actionable recommendations.Bachelors Dree in CompSci, Engineering or related degree strongly preferredNice to havePMP, Agile or CSM certificationFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services industryExperience supporting large-scale IT or transformation programsKnowledge of financial tracking and budgetingWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
