
Senior Accountant

- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Canadian business financial statements as per IFRS and send it to the US Manager for Consolidation
- Ensure that all Canadian GL accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Assist the Director of Accounting in preparing responses to IA audit report comments and findings and also follow up about their completion with different teams
- Proactively seek continuous enhancement in internal controls over business and financial transactions and financial reporting. Assist in reviewing and completing internal controls and assist in preparing and completing process documentation
- Assist in preparation of paperwork for corporate income taxes related to Canadian entities
- Complete monthly sales tax return filing for Canadian business and do sales tax reconciliation
- Assist Director of Accounting in maintaining transfer pricing documentation and other transfer pricing compliance activities
- Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains
- Ad-hoc analysis and support as requested by management

- Proficient with technology. Computer skills a must, specific proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, filters), Word, PowerPoint, Internet and email.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or Accounting or CPA Accounting designation required
- Accounting/finance experience required, experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and transactions
