
Project Engineer - Industrial

- Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating all aspects of engineering work on assigned projects.
- Engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM and EPC projects.
- Manages engineering teams in projects and across large studies with a project delivery focus.
- Provides operational day-to-day leadership, support and coordination with Lead Discipline Engineers and Third Parties for arriving at responsible decisions/outcomes on engineering matters for the project, or assigned portion of the project, as required.
- Defines and controls engineering work scope for the project or assigned portion of work based on Contract Documents.
- Supplies technical and general guidance on engineering-related matters.
- Receives operational and day-to-day direction from the Project Engineering Manager and directs engineering disciplines as required.
- Maintains contact with Engineering Management, procurement, project controls and construction and coordinates information between all parties.
- Maintains contact and coordination with the client, Vendors/Suppliers, Process Licensors, project/jobsite personnel, and Regulatory Agencies on engineering matters.
- Responsible for Engineering contributions to the health, safety, environmental and quality objectives of the project.
- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; P.Eng. in Ontario (or eligible)
- 10+ years in project engineering within industrial/process/battery plant environments
- Proven leadership in multi-discipline project settings
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
