About This RoleJob SummaryAs a CAE - Cybersecurity Operations Specialist some of your duties that you will be responsible for working are managing various cyber technologies, reviewing, and approving security requests, analyzing, and improving security tools and controls, creating security reports and metrics, working as subject matter experts (SMEs) in incident response and investigations, and providing security support as required for our clients.As a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, you will have a strong background in information security, network security, and cybersecurity best practices. You will also have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with other security professionals, IT staff, and business stakeholders to ensure the security and compliance of our organization.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain DLP policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of dataManage and configure various cyber technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, SIEM, IDS/IPS, etc.Review and approve security requests, such as privileged access rights, firewall rules, software installation, etc.Analyze and improve security tools, processes, and controls to enhance the security posture and performance of our network and systemsCreate and update security reports, dashboards, and metrics to measure and communicate the effectiveness of security operationsDesign and implement cloud security solutions for AWS and Azure platforms, using native and third-party tools and servicesMonitor and audit cloud security configurations and compliance using Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, AWS GuardDuty, Amazon Cloudtrail and other cloud security toolsRespond to and remediate cloud security incidents and alerts using Sentinel and other cloud security toolsDevelop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and guidelinesProvide cloud security guidance and best practices to internal and external stakeholdersWork as SMEs in incident response, providing technical guidance, coordination, and support to respond to and recover from security incidentsProvide security support for our clients, such as conducting security assessments, audits, tests, and reviews, and providing security recommendations and solutionsResearch and stay updated on the latest Cybersecurity trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and best practicesParticipate in security awareness and training programs for staff and clientsRole BreakdownDay to Day Cybersecurity Operations activities – 80%KPI’s, Metrics, and reporting – 10%Participating in Critical Security Incidents – 10%RequirementsMinimum 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity operations, preferably in a similar roleProfessional certification in Cybersecurity and cloud technologies, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SANS, AWS, Azure Sentinel, etc.Proficient in DLP and other Cybersecurity technologies, tools, and frameworksKnowledge of Cybersecurity standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, CMMC, etc.Experience in cloud security engineering, preferably in AWS and Azure environmentsFamiliarity with cloud security tools and services, such as Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, etc.Certification in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, etc.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyAbility to think critically and creatively to solve complex security problemsAbility to fill in other roles and duties as requiredBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (asset)Position Type RegularCAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
