Job Description:Our client is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Ottawa, Ontario. This key role will involve the creation and implementation of cloud security architectural solutions, with a focus on automation and security compliance. The ideal candidate will help ensure that cloud environments comply with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities :- Develop and implement a cloud security reference architecture and security safeguards.- Deliver codified corporate security policies and controls in the cloud using automation and self-service tools.- Proactively assess cloud environments to enforce security policies and reduce threats.- Design solution-independent security architecture models to meet compliance requirements.- Develop and implement architectural security standards that support compliant DevOps practices.- Work with the IT Security and Compliance Manager to align the cloud platform with corporate security guidelines.- Ensure compliance of the cloud platform with the security expectations defined by the regulatory bodies in the countries of operation.- Create repositories and registries for build and deployment artifacts to ensure traceability and compliance.- Monitor and continuously improve security practices in cloud environments.- Provide recommendations and solutions for security challenges related to deployments and configuration management.Requirements:Qualifications:- Minimum of five years' experience in IT security with a focus on cloud environments.- Proficiency with AWS technologies including Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2 and Auto Scaling.- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible for configuration management.- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for project and issue tracking.- Strong deployment and configuration management skills.- Good understanding of security standards and regulatory compliance practices.- Expertise in the use and management of servers and cloud environments.- Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure systems security.
