
Bilingual Clinical Education Specialist

- Provide clinical support for key focus products which may include in servicing, customer consultations to develop better Customer processes and develop Customer solutions with STERIS products.
- Identify topic(s) for group study or presentation to organizations such as CAMDR, ORNAC, CSGNA, IPAC, MDRAO, CSA.
- Identify and create new topics based on Customer needs, review and update existing presentations based on industry standards to ensure communications are up to date.
- Plan, generate and provide formal educational seminars, and workshops to stimulate product interest and increase sales.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, industry leaders, professional organizations and business associates through active membership in organizations (i.e., CAMDR, ORNAC, CSGNA, IPAC, MDRAO, CSA etc.) and participation in national/local professional meetings, workshops and seminars.
- Document issues and communicate to Sales, Services, Legal, Marketing, and other corporate functions.
- Provide recommendations to field sales team on Customer needs/requirements.
- Provide clinical expertise with troubleshooting (equipment and machine) and resolve Customer issues.
- Provide ongoing clinical guidance and training to field sales team.
- Support other departments (i.e., Marketing, R&D) through providing clinical expertise in the development and market launch of new products or services as well as concerns with existing products and programs.
- Audit Customer work processes (Device Processing, OR, GI,) and use of equipment and related accessories to ensure compliance with operating/processing instructions. Based on audit, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations.
- Document audit with recommended actions copying customer and sales team.
- Required:
- Degree/certification in Medical Device Reprocessing or 2 year Undergraduate degree
- Bilingual in French and English
- 5 years of hospital experience in the Medical Device Reprocessing Department
- Ability to travel overnight at least 50%
- Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
- Preferred:
- Degree from an accredited Nursing Program, Licensed Registered Nurse or MDRT/SPD equivalent
- Clinical expertise in Medical Device Reprocessing, Infection Control, or Endoscopy Department
- Experience providing clinical support for a healthcare industry manufacturer
- Understanding of surgical instrumentation and principles of sterilization
