This opportunity is for you.As a Payroll Specialist at Forvis Mazars, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse client base. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll data, processing new hires and terminations, managing employee leaves and deductions, and handling year-end reporting. Gathering to prosper better – Excelling in customer service – Committing to results – Embodying change🛠️ Your ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for clients with varying levels of complexity, in accordance with agreed deadlinesTrack payroll schedules and frequencies for each clientUpdate payroll systems with changes such as new hires, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollmentRespond to client inquiries with professionalism and careManage time-off banks (vacation, personal, sick days) and legal garnishmentsProduce Records of Employment (ROEs) and payroll reportsHandle year-end processing including T4/RL-1 slips and summary reportsSupport the continuous improvement of tools and processes and perform related tasks as needed🎓 Your ProfileDEC in accounting or equivalent diplomaMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar roleCurrently pursuing or planning to obtain the National Payroll Institute (NPI) certificationSolid knowledge of payroll systems such as Desjardins, Nethris or similarStrong command of Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel and Outlook)Understanding of payroll compliance rules (asset)Able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentDiscreet, professional, and client-orientedExcellent communication skills in French and English, spoken and written💼 What We OfferAt Forvis Mazars, we value your expertise and support your growth.
