Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy underground mining equipment and components in a shop environment
Disassemble and repair mechanical and hydraulic components
Work safely and follow all shop and company procedures
Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to keep workflow efficient
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications/Requirements
Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification required. Applicants holding a valid Truck and Coach Technician certification, with demonstrated experience working on heavy mining equipment, will be considered.
Valid Driver's License required
Able to safety life 50lbs unassisted
Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required
Exposure to mechanical component rebuilds is required
Previous experience in hydraulic rock drilling equipment and hydraulic drifters is an asset
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
