Shift: 5x2, Monday-Friday
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: this role will travel 25-40%
Relocation: This role is eligible for relocationKey Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy underground mining equipment and components in a shop environment
  • Disassemble and repair mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Work safely and follow all shop and company procedures
  • Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to keep workflow efficient
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification required. Applicants holding a valid Truck and Coach Technician certification, with demonstrated experience working on heavy mining equipment, will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Able to safety life 50lbs unassisted
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required
  • Exposure to mechanical component rebuilds is required
  • Previous experience in hydraulic rock drilling equipment and hydraulic drifters is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
