
Senior Cyber Intelligence Researcher (Global Security)

- Triage, process, and analyze threat data from various intelligence sources and communities of interest.
- Conduct targeted research into distinct types of cyber related issues including Cybercrime and Espionage operations, Vulnerability and Data breach disclosure, Malware and Adversary TTPs etc.
- Perform malware analysis, including hacking tools and crimeware.
- Inform technical and operational teams on relevant threats and risks.
- Produce weekly, monthly and on demand finished intelligence reports and analytical products.
- Advance existing service offerings by creating improved processes and procedures.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to communicate threat research findings.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to develop innovative solutions to intelligence issues.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, and 5+ years’ experience as a cyber intelligence analyst, incident responder, threat hunter, malware reverse engineer, or similar role.
- Experienced with all aspects of the intelligence cycle and proven knowledge of typical adversary and intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Ability to identify and apply appropriate Threat Intelligence terms and frameworks to track and communicate adversary capabilities or activities.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, AI/ML technologies and OWASP frameworks
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in investigative journalism.
- Familiar with intelligence analysis tools including Threat Intel Platforms.
- Understanding of the Global Cyber Threat Landscape including threat groups, attack vectors and methods of exploitation impacting the Finance Sector as well as regions RBC operates in.
- Experience working in large scale security operations especially for large corporations, military, or government organizations.
- Experience with static and dynamic malware analysis of Windows binaries, using tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, x64dbg, dnSpy and Wireshark.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
