In this role, the R&D Engineer II will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives.RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms analysis of large and complex code base to identify security vulnerabilities and address themPerforms analysis of dependencies, licensing requirements, and security implications of using various third party software and is responsible for adding, upgrading and maintaining their versions in development streamsCollaborates with development teams for porting and debugging software on different platforms and processor architecturesCollaborates with development teams on projects that may involve restructuring code and/or significant changes to the developer experienceEmploys best practices and helps to maintain them through technical reviewsAnticipates future needs and technology evolution, proposes and participates in implementation of new solutionsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years' experience or MSExperience with Python, Perl or other scripting languagesExperience with source code version tools and/or automated continuous integration softwarePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with integrating third party libraries and other related softwareKnowledge of best practices for third-party licensing and vulnerabilitiesExperience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, GitThorough knowledge of software development tools, compilers, and packaging softwareExperience with porting and debugging complex software on LinuxExcellent organization and attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed teamRewards and Benefits:We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs.
