Job Category: Facilities & MaintenanceJob Description:Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the property services in and around all the casino facilities and performing maintenance duties as required in a fast and efficient manner.Key Accountabilities
  • Inspecting facilities for safety hazards; repairing and maintaining as necessary
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment, property, and general building and preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining HVAC systems, including inspections, repairs, tests, etc.
  • Removing and replacing expired lighting and other equipment throughout the interior and exterior of the facility
  • Pressure washing exterior of facility
  • Pool & Hot Tub maintenance and daily pool water chemistry
  • Monthly fire pump testing and sprinkler valve inspection
  • Domestic water valve exercise.
  • Completing all work orders, as assigned
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact
  • Communicate effectively with management at all levels
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role is required
  • Practical knowledge and skills in drywall finishing and painting techniques is required
  • A good working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and general facility repairs
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
Work Environment Considerations
  • Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables, non-traditional work hours including evening, weekend or holiday shifts.
  • Standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, interruptions, major exposure to heat, cold, noise, odors, minor exposure to fumes, chemicals, dirt, dust.
