- The successful candidate will have a PhD in Psychology, Education, Social or Behavioural Sciences (Health Services Research, Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology), and have an interest in mental health and substance use research and strong qualitative and mixed methods research skills in study design, measurement and data analysis.
- The applicant must have previous experience in youth mental health and substance use research, school-based research, and healthcare improvement. Quantitative research experience analyzing mental health data at different levels (population, community and clinical care) is an asset.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups such as health system administrators, school-based personnel, clinical experts, and youth and families with lived or living experience is required.
- Applicants must have a proven track record of research project development, and execution, as well as peer reviewed publications.
- Experience with data privacy, data management, and ethical guidelines to data use and ownership (e.g., Ownership, Control Access and Possession OCAP® Principles) is an asset.
- The successful applicant will have experience working with interdisciplinary teams and managing complex projects. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills are required. The successful applicant will be a self-starter able to manage multiple projects with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated superior communication skills, i.e., ability to explain complex issues in plain language both verbally and in writing in a prior work setting is required.
