WAGE RATE: $33.32 – $44.66POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Manager Biomedical Engineering, the Biomedical Engineering Technologist provides skills and technical knowledge to support functional, safe and reliable healthcare that promotes the well-being of patients throughout Grey Bruce Health Services. The incumbent will work within a team environment to repair, and maintain and provide emergency repair service for medical equipment in a safe and timely manner.QUALIFICATIONSRequired
- College diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex hospital medical devices, systems, codes and standards
- Excellent computer skills in the following applications: MS Office, Computerized Maintenance Management System, computer networks, devices and software.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and team skills
- Effective trouble shooting, problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills
- A strong customer service orientation
- Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
- Available for overtime, on-call, weekends and flexibility in hours of work
- Possession of a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records

- Two (2) years Biomedical Engineering repair and maintenance experience
