Employment Type: Full-timeOverviewOur client, a well-established construction company in Laval, is seeking an experienced Coordonnateur Santé & Sécurité (CoSS) to oversee health and safety compliance on a large-scale residential project. This role is critical in ensuring a safe work environment and full adherence to regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Health & Safety authority on site in accordance with provincial regulations
- Ensure full compliance with CNESST standards and company safety policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific prevention programs
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation measures
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with safety requirements
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain all required documentation and ensure audit readiness
- Mandatory CNESST accreditation (CoSS certification)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role on construction sites
- Strong knowledge of Quebec health & safety legislation and best practices
- Experience on multi-residential or large-scale construction projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to enforce safety standards while maintaining strong working relationships
