Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) Consultant contractor to start on September 22, 2025, and will run until July 10, 2026, with possibility for a further extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP RAR experience, including at least two full-lifecycle implementations, and a strong understanding of complex revenue recognition principles under IFRS 15 and ASC 606. This is a hybrid role, requiring 1–2 days on-site per week.Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and customize the SAP RAR module to automate revenue recognition processes in compliance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards.
  • Lead design workshops with business stakeholders to translate complex revenue accounting requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Design, build, and manage the critical integration points between RAR and other SAP modules, primarily SD (Sales and Distribution) and FI (Financial Accounting).
  • Lead the RAR workstream through all phases of the project lifecycle, including blueprinting, realization, testing, training, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Develop and maintain business rules within the BRF+ framework to handle complex revenue scenarios like variable consideration, performance obligations, and contract modifications.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (unit, integration, UAT) to ensure the solution meets business requirements and accounting compliance.
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and sales operations teams to gather requirements, address challenges, and ensure smooth adoption of the new processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed functional design documents, configuration guides, and process flowcharts.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for revenue recognition issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
