Location: Etobicoke, OntarioPay Scale: Per Local 793 ContractThis position is for 2 existing vacanciesJob SummaryWe are a large contractor in the GTA seeking an experienced Asphalt Spreader Operator to join our asphalt crews. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety focused and capable of working in a fast-paced environment both day & night shifts.Responsibilities:
  • Operate Asphalt Paving Machine Screed
  • Operate other Pieces of Heavy Equipment
  • Familiar with Vogele, Caterpillar, and/or other Paving Machines
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
  • Operate computer-controlled equipment functions
  • Conduct & Complete pre-operational checks on equipment
  • Secure special attachments to equipment such as screed and auger extensions
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Comply with all safety policies
Requirements:
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Weight handling: 50LBS
  • Candidate should be proficient with this type of machinery: Asphalt Paving Machine Screed Operator, and asphalt compaction equipment
  • Working at Heights Required
  • Local 793 Required
