Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.As a result of our robust growth we are looking for experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers for designated routes throughout Canada / USA to join our team of driving professionals with Connors Transfer Ltd., a division of Cooke.Connors is based out of Woodstock, NB and Stellarton, NS however, the candidate must be willing to operate throughout Canada and the US as required. We run from NB/NS/PEI into the Eastern Seaboard, reloading for Ontario or Montreal, before returning East. This position will appeal to reliable, self-motivated team players with a strong work ethic and the availability to work flexible hours.The RoleTo be successful in this role the candidate must possess:
  • A valid Class 1 E driver’s license
  • A clean driving abstract
  • A minimum of 2 years driving experience and/or a certificate from a driver’s training school
  • An excellent safety record
  • Efficient, reliable, professional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with refrigerated transportation equipment would be considered an asset.Compensation Package:Single miles
  • Mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.46/mile Canadian
  • Mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.62/mile US
  • Pick-up - $25.00/hr
  • Detention - $18.00/hr
Team miles
  • Canada mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.31/mile each driver
  • USA mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.39/mile each driver
  • Pick-up - $15.55/hr each driver
  • Paid switches
