The Core Agent is a pivotal role in the hotel as they manage the central telephone and chat system within the hotel Core Agents take In Room Dining orders, divert external and internal calls, respond to guests over “chat”, relay messages from Housekeeping to the Front Office team and handle reservations on a limited basis. All while remaining calm, professional and providing a high level of consistent service.Duties:Answers phone inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names when possible and routing calls to proper extensions.Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with, hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.Takes guest in-room dining orders, communicates special requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system.Coordinate delivery of orders by Room Service Servers in a timely manner according to Four Seasons Standards.Ability to provide alternative menu recommendations due to guest’s personal aversions, and promote goods or servicesAssist guests with amenity requests, Explain the type and cost of services offered and prepare corresponding charges, arrange for refunds, exchange and credit for returned servicesPrepare daily amenity list to be delivered by Room Service Servers.Assigns rooms to Room Attendants, dispatches Houseman/Runners on requests and supports the overall day-to-day Housekeeping Operation.Utilizes and ensures proper working condition of the telephone switchboard, the hotel computer systems.Communicate with all departments as needed over multiple platforms including Teams, HotSOS, Rex, email, to ensure all specific requests and demands are met quickly and accurately.Communicate with guests on multiple platforms, including FS Messenger, phone and email.Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.Ability to be a team player, work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and superior.Ensures highest level of professionalism with a friendly calm demeanor.Requirements:Must have a minimum of 6 months of hospitality experience working in a hotelCompletion of Secondary SchoolCompletion of some college or other post-secondary programs is preferred, but not requiredComfort with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn other computer software suites necessary for the rolesThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple guest calls consecutivelyThe ability to multitask effectivelyFluency in reading, writing, and speaking in EnglishExcellent commitment to service and teamwork.Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check.Ability to work eveningsGreat attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.On the job training is providedAs our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Hotel Information Clerks to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.Join Our TeamJoin our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as a Hotel Information Clerk Agent.Our work environment pairs a strong commitment to excellent service and authentic experiences with an emphasis on creativity and innovation.
