- Service & Maintenance of heating/air conditioning/refrigeration equipment and systems for the purpose of providing comfort and indoor air quality.
- Inspect systems and their components (e.g. roof top units, air handling units, restaurant /refrigeration equipment, make-up air units, exhaust fans, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper efficient operation of equipment.
- Respond to service and warranty calls and repair failed components in a timely and efficient manner to support facility and tenant needs.
- Prepare documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information to customer on work performed.
- Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning HVAC equipment.
- Provide HVAC support to end users when applicable. Seek guidance from more experience staff for difficult and unusual situations.
- Use HVAC knowledge, skills and experience to act as mentor for less experienced staff. May provide guidance to workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
- Execute all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
- Keep up to date and informed on all company products, services and policies.
- Present a professional image of Convergint at all times in appearance and behavior and seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.
- Communicate with and work with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Technology Center, and company.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial HVAC maintenance experience
- 5 - 10 years of commercial & industrial combined experience
- Journeyman HVAC/R Mechanic certification required
- Gas Fitter ‘A’ Ticket is essential

- Excellent communication skills both oral and written

- Adaptability – Responds effectively to changes in situation or information
- Strong financial analytical skills including cost control
