- Own solution design for one or more digital platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
- Partner with solution managers to define platform roadmaps, capabilities, and feature sets.
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed solution blueprints and integration specifications.
- Lead design reviews with internal and vendor teams to ensure architectural compliance and quality.
- Manage multiple concurrent vendor-based deliveries, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to solution managers, DevOps leads, and vendor engineering teams.
- Identify and resolve cross-platform integration issues, dependencies, and risks.
- Embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into all designs.
- Maintain architecture artefacts, integration diagrams, and decision logs for governance and audit.
- Contribute to platform modernization strategies, including migration plans and adoption of new technologies.
- 5–8 years in solution design, platform architecture, or technical delivery roles.
- Proven experience in digital platforms relevant to banking, credit cards, contact center, and customer acquisition/service.
- Strong track record in vendor delivery oversight, ideally with proven experience in managing multiple concurrent SOW-based initiatives.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern integration patterns (REST, event-driven, microservices).
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy in financial services (e.g., PCI DSS, PIPEDA).
- Comfortable moving between high-level architecture and detailed, prescriptive solution design.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and coach technical leads and delivery managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Strong documentation and diagramming skills.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work across architecture, delivery, operations, and vendor teams.
