- Train Account Managers and customers in technical applications of Ecolab Food & Beverage products, programs and systems.
- Provide technical support related to the following areas: operational savings, troubleshooting of problems, plant startups, in-plant training and audits of customers operations.
- Provide counsel and complex problem solving to Food & Beverage customers, concerning products and equipment as well as total plant quality programs and related issues.
- Communicate to the sales force, sales staff and management, techniques and information regarding products, services, equipment and procedures.
- Prepare reports detailing the recommendations that are made to customers or F&B associates.
- Plan and manage within given budget parameters development of programs for improved sanitation or related products, procedures and services.
- Perform field testing of new products or procedures.
- Provide recommendations related to safety standards and protocol.
- This position will primarily support Western Canada. The successful candidate can be based in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
- Regular overnight travel within the region will be required (~50%); travel to other regions across Canada may be required based on business need.
- High school diploma, post-secondary degree or advanced diploma in Microbiology, Engineering, Dairy/Food Science or related field of study is preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in food & beverage manufacturing in a technical support role.
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Willingness and ability to work varying hours.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the geographic territory.
- Able to travel to the US for training/meetings

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills, able to prepare effective and concise Executive Summary Reports, Excel spreadsheets, and recommendations to customers.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to understand what the customer needs.

- Creativity and adaptability; analytical with a strong attention to details.
