Overview:Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. For more information visit .Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, the Geology Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of tasks to support geology department daily operations.Location: Blackwater Mine SiteSchedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation Responsibilities:
  • Supporting day-to-day drilling operations, working closely with geology team and drilling contractors to ensure successful drilling campaigns including reverse circulation, sonic and diamond drilling.
  • Attend daily line-up meetings and communicate drilling plans
  • Organize and coordinate mine services crew assigned to drilling tasks
  • Co-ordinate drill collar staking with survey
  • Co-ordinate drill pad preparation with operations teams
  • Manage daily drilling information and performing basic data entry
  • Train new staff on various procedures
  • Perform inspections of drilling sites to ensure safety, environmental and QA/QC procedure compliance
  • Manage sample shipments to and from external laboratories
  • Monitor inventory of drilling consumables and equipment
  • Creating purchase requests, receiving goods and materials
  • Deliver samples from the drill site to the on-site prep lab
  • Prepare and label sample bags for the grade control drilling
  • Collect samples for ML/ARD monitoring
Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced team members.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • BSc in Geology or Engineering is an asset
  • Experience in diamond drilling or reverse circulation drilling programmes is an asset
  • Computers skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.
  • Experience running small mobile equipment such as telehandler, skid steer, forklift, is an asset.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
  • Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
  • Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
