- Attend project start up meeting.
- Monitor project schedule and budget, meet deliverables and milestones.
- Delegate tasks to junior technical team members as required.
- Monitor model health and drawing integrity.
- Attend project team meetings as required.
- Anticipate and coordinate crucial project information with consultants and/or client ahead of deliverables.
- Provide mentoring to junior technical team as required (field questions related to software, constructability,drawing standards, process etc.).
- Clean and/or purge model elements from early design phases.
- Develop the drawing package structure. (i.e. drawing sheet list)
- Develop outline specification
- Upload and package models for coordination
- Review preliminary building components for assemblies, constructability, and coordination.
- Develop drawing package content (eg: details, wall sections, plan sections).
- Review Drawing packages through stages of development for drawing standards and constructability.
- Review consultant drawing packages for inter-disciplinary coordination
- Coordinate and collaborate with consultants (architects, engineers, vendors, and fabricators).
- Ensure all vital project information and documentation is recorded, filed and maintained.
- Upload model as per transfer schedule outlines with consultants (and contractor as required).
- Ensure FBM QA/QC procedures have been followed.
- Monitor construction document schedule and budget.
- Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and other submittals.
- Issue SIs, ASKs, drawing revisions as project requires.
- Issue CCOs, COs and letters of recommendation as project scope requires.
- Review progress claims and contractor change pricing.
- Log project related emails and documents as per FBM Newforma procedures.
- Participate in project site visits, document and prepare reports.
- Maintain and update deficiency log.
- Prepare or oversee the record drawings and other document deliverables as per project scope.
- Attend warranty meetings if required.
- Education: Completion of a post-secondary program in Architectural Technology or a relevant technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technician.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Building Code of Canada, provincial building codes, , construction methods, building science and materials.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task in a collaborative environment
