- 10+ years of experience designing, building large-scale distributed systems using industry standard patterns, with deep experience in Java.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
- Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in object-oriented design methodology and application development using Java/J2EE, GraphQL, Design Patterns, Spring MVC, SQL, Web services
- Proven track record in architecting common libraries and patterns for use in large scale applications with 50+ engineers
- Advanced knowledge of model-view-controller (MVC) and object oriented design paradigms.
- Experience with patterns for achieving feature modularity
- Experience in integration with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), network debugging (e.g. Charles)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with services teams to design optimal service contracts
