We have an exciting opportunity in the National Service RegionThe Administrative Assistant, Industrial Security, provides administrative support to DCC’s industrial security program. The incumbent provides high-quality, timely, efficient and effective administrative services, including gathering, reviewing, entering, tracking and maintaining security screening and clearance information. The Administrative Assistant, Industrial Security responds to inquiries from internal and external clients. The incumbent upholds DCC values and positively represents the corporation.KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:
Primary
  • Administer the flow of security screening documents and information
  • Review security forms submitted by industry
  • Enter, update, review, verify, amend, retrieve, track and maintain security screening and clearance information
  • Gather statistical and other information to generate reports in support of security registration activities
  • Research and respond to inquiries, and serve internal and external clients
  • Provide advice, guidance and assistance to other employees on the use of electronic tracking, reporting and information systems and databases
  • Carry out document and records management
Other
  • Demonstrate work processes and procedures to other employees
  • Other duties as assigned
SKILLS General and Specific Knowledge
  • Administrative best practices
  • Knowledge of the Government of Canada Industrial Security Program
Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience
  • Minimum: high school diploma with three years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent
Abilities
  • Use applicable computer software and operating systems
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and work independently
  • Be bilingual (English and French, mandatory)
