
Building Operator

- In conjunction with the FMO Account Manager and the team, plan and execute responsive and planned maintenance in accordance with BAS or facility management system
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other subcontractors; supervise subcontractors
- Perform basic tours and log readings
- Respond to tenant complaints
- Perform light duties such as cleaning, painting, garbage removal, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical duties, assisting sub-contractors technician's mechanics, etc.
- Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote good customer relationships
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs
- Represent the company on matters such as business services
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Assist in purchase of building materials
- Review work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficiencies
- Travelling to Moose Jaw (DCC) will be required for this position, company vehicle shall be provided.

- Class 5 Power Engineering Certification is beneficial.
- Construction trade certification in plumbing, HVAC or electrical is beneficial.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as Building Operator; experience in operating a commercial facility, preferred
- Knowledge and experience with building automation systems and HVAC systems
- This is a full-time position with some emergency out-of-office hours duties.
- Must be able to pass and complete the requirements of a Security Clearance
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment.
- Communicates effectively, both written and verbal, excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to use computers and related technology efficiently.
- Clean Class 5 AB Driver's License.
- Must attend and pass Black & McDonald Basics of Supervision training.
