- Accountable for the Dry End Operations (including the Mill, Loading and Warehouse operations, and Production planning.
- Manages area budget / cost, volume and quality.
- Monitors the activities and processes to ensure proper scheduling to achieve the budgeted production rates and shipping requirements.
- Firm understanding and accountability for the costs associated with the facility. Identify cost savings opportunities.
- In charge of continuous improvement and sustainable development projects for the Mill and Loading operations.
- Accountable for Ensuring Compliance with all QC Requirements (GMP, HACCP) and Providing Leadership to Drive Continuous Improvements in Product Quality.
- Establishes and ensures achievement of all unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Fosters adherence to standard work processes, including Management Control and Reporting System.
- Ensures consistent application of Company values and professionalism.
- Manages employee and labor relations matters in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Ensures systems and processes are in place to maintain smooth operations during employee absences and staffing changes.
- Fosters a culture that values diversity and promotes respect, inclusion, cooperation and responsibility.
- Utilizes IRS principles and ensures that legislation and Company rules/regulations are built in and followed in all assignments and responsibilities.
- Provides expertise in a technical field to the executive leadership team by identifying needs and making recommendations on the people and the process.
- Required
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of progressive leadership of a team.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to plan, organize and carry out multiple project assignments at once.

- Demonstrate ability to develop, coach and mentor the workforce, build relationships and utilize the workforce effectively while maintaining a high safety standard.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in bulk material, storage and/or transfer preferred.
- Experience working in a union environment is preferred.
- Works in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
- Travels between office and plant environments of varied temperatures and humidity.
- Climb stairs, ladders, working on elevated heights.
- Wears personal protective equipment.
