Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, the Plumber is responsible for a variety of skilled tasks related to the plumbing trade, which are required for the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or upgrading of plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems within Nova Scotia Health facilities. This position may require travel to work at other sites.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Red Seal Journeyman Plumber Certification
- Ability to work in an environment with conflicting priorities, demanding deadlines and time pressures
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes required
- Demonstrated knowledge and observation of safe work practices is required
- Proficiency in the use of computers (e.g. Microsoft Office) required
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with a safety permit system
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Casual relief position, no guaranteed hours
