Your strategic and organized mindset allows you to engage your audience through storytelling.As our Employee Communications Advisor, you’ll work with various departments and actively engage our executive leadership team to craft messages to support a wide variety of topics.We’re looking for someone who can see a project through to completion, and a self-starter like yourself to help us achieve our goal.   • Understand the energy landscape, FortisBC’s strategic vision, voice, and tone, and begin communicating our core values.
  • Seek out opportunities to tell FortisBC and department-specific stories, putting a human lens on our organization.
  • Build and enhance the relationship with key stakeholders and various business areas, ensuring a customer-centric and collaborative approach.
What it takes:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint experience with Adobe Creative Suite software required.
  • Experience working in the energy sector is an asset.
  • Experience with formal and creative writing is an asset.
