
Learning Design Consultant

- You will provide technical support for the learning management system as required
- Leveraging your knowledge of learning and design principles, you will create interactive and engaging instructional materials and performance support tools for classroom and web-enabled courses for synchronous and asynchronous education
- You will work collaboratively with the learning & development team to provide consultation on design for projects
- Your strong communication skills will be required to edit course materials, develop integrated content, and to facilitate training programs and meetings as required
- Completion of a university degree, preferably in a learning, design, or communication related discipline, or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience
- Prior experience with a learning management system and/or eLearning authoring tools (i.e. Captivate, Lectora and/or Storyline) required
- Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and methods of evaluation
- Background in designing and developing learning solutions
- The following would be considered an asset:
- Experience with web development or an understanding of web technologies (i.e. HTML, Flash, Javascript)
- Graphic design and course content development
- You are able to master new technologies and troubleshoot software and programming issues.
