You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Produce development and stope layoutsCheck work of his/her peers for correctness and accuracyDevelop mining plans in conjunction with other departments such as maintenance, electrical, geology and underground and are required to follow all acts regulations under the OHSA and Reg. 854Stay current of activities within respective headings and remain up-to date of production, development and drilling rates to accurately schedule and prioritize required workProvide input to the Senior Mine Planner to develop and maintain a rolling 3-month plan, which will allow the mine to meet its production/exploration commitments and goalsWork jointly with Underground Captains to develop daily and weekly plans in a timely mannerUpdate all Deswik level layers on an as needed basis following drawing standardsProvide reference tools for the mine department to operate effectively/accuratelyAssist with plan for all mine design and planned production with focus on short and mid-term plansOther responsibilities as assignedAssist the Survey team with Training, Underground & Surface work when requiredAssist in the creation of Month End survey PrintsWork with geology department to ensure plans have the most up to date geological informationLead design meetings and communicate plansQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mining engineering or QualificationsMinimum of 2 year’s relevant experience in an operating mineExperience in underground Hard Rock Mining Environment preferredExcellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPointYour Work Schedule:Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.#LI-LT1
