- The role is responsible for acting as the Subject Matter Expert while helping the Sales team assess customer trade spend and improve promotional efficiency. This includes developing strategies, conducting extensive financial and data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in promotional planning, execution, and post-event analysis, all while leading a direct report.
- The role will report into the Insights, Analytics and Trade Leader and will work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and internal North American/Global teams. The role has one (1) direct report (Trade Promotion Analyst). Responsibilities also include managing external vendors (e.g. Trade Promotion Management/Optimization software).

- You’ve acquired 2+ years of progressive experience in Trade Marketing, Sales Operations, Revenue Growth Management, or Finance within a CPG environment, with a strong focus on trade spend management.
- Your skills include…
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing trade promotions, including deep understanding of various promotional mechanics and their impact.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) software (e.g., Adesso, Vistex) is highly preferred. Experience with Trade Promotion Optimization software is an asset (e.g., Sequoya).
- Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring a junior analyst or team member.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape and CPG market dynamics is an advantage.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
