
Business Development Lead, Growth Team

- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) in executing strategic outreach campaigns.
- Set and monitor KPIs to ensure team performance aligns with Growth Team objectives.
- Provide regular coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, and accountability.
- Partner with the Director of Business Strategy & Analytics to shape and evolve the business development strategy, including segmentation, targeting, and outreach tactics.
- Align campaign strategies with Sales Directors and VPs.
- Oversee the development and iteration of call/email scripts and outreach content.
- Own the team's CRM best practices.Lead the reporting process for all business development metrics.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client news to proactively inform team strategies.
- Lead research initiatives on emerging sectors
- Support attendance and planning for tradeshows, conferences, and key networking events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; advanced degree an asset.
- 5+ years in Business Development or Sales, with at least 2 years in a people leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing high-performing business development teams.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for process improvement and scalable growth.
- Industry experience (contract food services or B2B sales) is highly desirable.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred.
