- Audit and control the purchase order and invoicing process for the department, ensuring that all products are invoiced, processed and reported on consistently
- Audit documentation for vehicles in the commercial fleet in relation to licensing, registration, and ensuring compliance with DOT standards
- Work with accounts payable on invoicing and rectifying issues, setting up new vendors in the system, and ensuring records are kept up to date for mileage of our commercial vehicles
- Provide analytics, visualization and dashboards for relevant departmental data
- Deal with repeat vendor repairs, matching estimates to actual costs, resolving problems with vendors, closing off work order payments, and escalating major issues to supervisor
- Notify vendors of repairs needed, receiving estimates for repairs, negotiating costs and warranty recovery, updating system with costs, and determining if repairs are necessary
- Assist managers in notifying them of planned maintenance, expediting repairs at vendors, and communicating with branches to gather proactive repairs on vehicles
- Implementation of Irving Oil policies and procedures and ensuring vendors follow Irving Oil policies and procedures and working with supervisor on making adjustments to policies and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong financial acumen
- Strong computer literacy - Must be advanced with Microsoft Excel and intermediate with other Microsoft Office programs
- Strong skill base in analytics with a focus on analysis, management, interpretation and presentation of relevant data sets
- Ability to work independently
- 3-5 years relevant experience with a related diploma/certification (e.g. business, finance, analytics, etc.). Practical experience would also be considered as an equivalent for post-secondary education
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a finance-related role
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a data analytics related role
