
Temporary part time team lead cook

- Oversee and coordinate kitchen operations during assigned shifts
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality standards
- Plan and execute menu items in collaboration with the head chef
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as required
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proven experience as a cook with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Red Seal Certified
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development
- In-depth understanding of food safety principles and health regulations
- Valid Food Safety Certification
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred
- Familiarity with local food regulations and health standards in Windsor, Canada
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
