Summary of DutiesWorking with the interprofessional team, the Patient Service Partner is responsible for supporting the care of adolescent and adult patients who have been diagnosed with a major mental illnessQualifications/Skills
Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
Applicants who have a PSW certificate or completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course will be given priority
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Recent experience as a PSP at SHSC preferred
Must possess an Infection Control Core Competency Certificate
Ability to work well as part of an interprofessional team
Proven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frame
Liaises with patients and visitors on a regular basis demonstrating excellent customer service
Mental Health experience an asset
CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention), Gentle Persuasion (GPA) an asset
