- Setup Alimak, ground floor setup
- Drive 80m long raise, 90°, 2.4m diameter round
- Breakthrough on the top side of the raise
- Strip out Alimak
- Setup top down Alimak
- Slash raise on the way down to 5.5m diameter bin
- Install cable bolts while advancing
- Shotcrete bin
- Strip Alimak setup
- Operate Mechanized Raise Climber
- Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances
- Perform tasks such as constructing MRC installations, scaling loose rock, drilling, installing MRC rails, installing services as required
- Read and interpret mine plans
- Install ground support
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
- The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
- 2 years or more experience with conventional mining methods and hand held drills
- 6 months as a Mechanized Raise Miner
- Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core - Full Basic (or other provincial equivalent)
- Required Specialty Modules: U0064 (or other provincial equivalent)
- Ability to multi task and work effectively
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with a partner and be a team player
- Recommended to complete the MRC training program
- Respectful of cultural differences
