If you're ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter - and build a career with a company that's building North America - we want to hear from you!ABOUT THE ROLEAmrize is seeking a safe, reliable, motivated, and flexible individual to join our team as a Shipping Loader Operator at our Cawthra Depot in Mississauga. The Shipping Loader Operator will operate mobile equipment (wheel loader) to load customer vehicles (trixaxle dump trucks, trailers) with aggregate in accordance with Amrize's Best Practices and Policies as well as perform all administration related to the equipment's operation.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintain the Cawthra Depot in accordance with Amrize's Best Practices and Policies.
  • Operate equipment such as CAT 980, CAT 908, and forklifts to load customer vehicles, manage the concrete rubble pile, and assist with internal crushing crew tasks.
  • Ensure the site meets or exceeds all Amrize and Regulatory environmental and safety guidelines, which may include operating a water truck and/or motorized sweeper.
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assisting the Portable Crushing team with stockpiling material, transporting rubble, and clean up around the work area.
  • Manage the concrete rubble stockpile to ensure that the pile is safe at all times and providing sufficient room for customers to dump rubble.
  • Work at other depots within the GTA as required (travel mileage will be compensated).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Loader Operator experience is required.
  • Training/Certifications: Valid “G” license is required; First Aid, LOTOTO, specific mobile equipment training, and Surface Miner Courses are an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude and computer literacy.
  • Travel Requirements: Assistance at other depots within the GTA as required; travel mileage will be compensated.
  • Working Conditions: Night and weekend work may be required for salt shifts over the winter season on a rotational basis
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience managing concrete rubble pile is an asset.
  • Ability to perform manual labor that includes heavy lifting, bending, and twisting while being indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
